I'm about to go back to school once again to get my Director's Credential. I really enjoy continuing my education and keeping up on the latest in the childcare field.
My name is Sandy Sciacca, i have been in the child care field since 1990,I started out working in centers and then decided, i would like the idea of being the boss, so i started a home daycare out of my garage, I have 2 children, Misty 26 and Wesley 24, My husband Michael recently retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. We now make Pace Fl our home.
We have a grandson who is the delight of our day.
My education consist of:
AA degree
CDA
thousands of hours of training.
Monday - Friday
6:30am - 4:30pm
Preschool program
Monday - Thursday
We have a structured preschool program Monday thur Thursday, Friday is fun day.
I use Creative Curriculum , kidcrafters and more for guide lines in creating my preschool curriculum.
Each week we have a different theme to go along with the activities we do.
I also try and go on at least one field trip a month.

My Playroom is set up in centers so the children can move around freely and choose where they would like to play, they also work on social skills, sharing, helping each other, playing together.
Children learn through Play.
8:00 to 8:30 AM Snack
8:30 to 9:00 Child's choice in centers
9:00 to 9:30 Circle time
9:30 to 10:00 Art project
10:00to10:30 Music & Movement
10:30to10:45 Story
10:45to11:30 Outside play (weather permitting)
11:30to12:30 Lunch time
12:30to 3:00 nap time
3:00 to 3:30 wake up time/ quiet play
3:30 to 4:00 PM snack
4:00 to 4:45 outside play (weather permitting)
4:45 to 5:00 get ready for home
note: since we are in a home setting this scedule is subject to change due to the amount of children in care, the weather, or last minute field trips, etc....
